36x48 Acrylic on Canvas
I grew up in the mountains of Colorado on the edge of an open space park filled with elk. Herds in the hundreds would frequently meet me at the bus stop. Bugling elk would echo through the night in the fall, and spotted babies would arrive in the backyard by spring.
I developed quite a reverence for these wild creatures and their strength. Elk have an aggression, a protectiveness, and a grace I absolutely admire.
