This piece features a cowgirl modeling a dress made of 93 monarch butterflies. I made this piece over a few weeks in my cozy studio during the winter, and found myself drawn to a cooler color palette than usual (you won’t find much red in this one!). Monarch butterflies make quite an incredible migration throughout their lives, and this piece represents the beauty found in constant change.
