16×20 Acrylic on Canvas

Usually I spend early morning miles peering through the bushes on high alert looking to avoid a bear surprise. But this particular morning was so quiet. So peaceful. About three miles down the Middle Cottonwood trail, a big rolling meadow opens up. We looked across the flowering fields to be greeted with the most precious sight. The freshest fawn I’ve ever seen!
This babe has been on my mind ever since we saw her take her first steps. I knew I had to paint those wobbly legs, bright spots, and add a little poppy flair to represent how stunning it is to see something so new to this world. I couldn’t imagine a better first nursery than this. Mama knows best, as always.

Framed in a black wood floater frame.
