Forget Me Not Original
A cowgirl in a field of forget me not flowers, sitting in a hand painted dusty blue ornate frame.
This piece was made for the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center International Women’s Day show, where the theme was “Moving as a Woman.”
Women in our country are constantly in motion. Climbing corporate ladders. Chasing big dreams. Balancing a tightrope. Fighting for rights. Raising other humans. Loving other humans. Running up mountains, planting vast gardens, and building homes. Women often don’t have time to just be women, in silence, storing up potential energy to change the world after she’s rested. This piece, “Forget Me Not” is one of those quiet moments, where a woman in motion gets the chance, for once, to be still.
20×24 acrylic on canvas, framed.
